1. Siargao Island, the Philippines
This teardrop island in the southeastern Philippines is one of the most popular surfing spots, offering white sandy beaches, blue-green waters, great waves and more. Surfers will want to head to Cloud 9, a famous surfing spot on the island with high-energy waves. Non-surfers will want to head to Alegria Beach instead. The postcard-worthy destination has clear blue waters, white sand and a rugged shoreline. Visit from March to September to avoid the rainy season.
Stay at the Nay Palad Hideaway and you’ll be conveniently located to the island’s tropical jungles, untouched beaches and more. Its Coral Villa is a great spot to unwind in, decked with a movie projector, private pool, outdoor dining area and private garden.
